Sunshine Montessori

Program

Sunshine Montessori offers a full day and limited slots for a half day program along with before and after care based on the demand and needs of the parents. The full day program is Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The half day program is from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Before care will be available from 7:30-8:30 AM and after care will be available from 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM depending on enrollment. Sunshine Montessori will offer a summer program for an additional fee from July through mid-August. We will be following the Billerica public-school calendar for holidays, snow days and vacation weeks.

  • September
    • Labor Day – Monday, September 1st. No School. 
    • First day of school Tuesday, September 2nd. 
    • Ice Cream Social Thursday, September 4th at 3:00 PM, (Rain date, Friday, September 5th at 3:00 PM). Location: School Playground.
  • October
    • Indigenous People’s Day / Columbus Day – Monday, October 13th. No School.
    • Teacher’s Professional Day, Tuesday, October 21st. Half Day Dismissal. 
    • Parent Information Night, Thursday, October 23rd at 6:00 PM.
  • November 
    • Veterans Day – Tuesday, November 11th. No School.
    • Parent Teacher Conferences, Wednesday, November 19th and Thursday November 20th. Half Day Dismissal.
    • Thanksgiving – Wednesday, November 26th- Half Day Dismissal. 
    • Thursday, November 27th – Friday, November 28th. No School.
  • December
    • Christmas Break – Tuesday, December 23rd- Half Day Dismissal. 
    • Wednesday, December 24th – Friday, January 2nd, 2025. No School.
  • January
    • Martin Luther King Jr., Day – Monday, January 19th. No School.
  • February
    • Winter Break – February 16th – February 20th. No School.
  • March
    • Bring a Parent to School Night, Thursday, March 26th at 5:00 PM.
    • Teachers Professional Day, Friday, March 27th. Half day dismissal.
  • April
    • Good Friday – Friday, April 3rd. No School.
    • Spring Break – Monday, April 20th – Friday April 24th. No School.
  • May
    • Spring Tea, Friday, May 8th at 10:30 AM. Half day dismissal. 
    • Teacher’s Professional Day, Friday, May 15th. No School. 
    • Parent Teacher Conferences, Wednesday, May 20th and Thursday May 21st. Half day dismissal.
    • Memorial Day – Monday, May 25th. No School.
  • June
    • Last Day of School- Tuesday June 16th.
    • Graduation and End of Year Celebration at 2:00 – 3:00 PM. No extended day. 

*Sunshine Montessori follows holiday closings based on the Billerica Public School Calendar

**Sunshine Montessori will be closed or delayed if Billerica Public schools are closed or delayed due to snow or other inclement weather. On delayed openings due to weather there will be no half day program.
